grade is everything
Bronze Age books survive in big numbers, so the gap between a mid-grade and a near-mint copy is large. Look for sharp corners, a flat spine with no stress lines and bright, glossy covers. Those are the books worth grading.
Check for price variants
Some 1976–1977 Marvel issues were test-marketed at 30¢ or 35¢ instead of the regular price. They're far scarcer than regular copies — check the cover price corner.
